What are Slab Snax?

Slab Snax are premium hand-poured, hand-painted fishing jigs designed for serious crappie and panfish anglers. Each jig is made in small batches with a multi-layer coating that holds up to real use.

Where can I buy Slab Snax?

You can buy them online in our Shop or at select local retailers listed on our Retail Locations page. We're expanding fast, so keep an eye out for new stores near you.

What sizes do your jigs come in?

Currently, we offer:

• 1/32 oz No.8 Hook (great for finicky fish)

• 1/16 oz No.6 Hook (general all-around size)

• 1/8 oz No.2 Hook (for bigger species)

How many jigs come in a pack?

Depends on the size:

• 1/32 oz: Available in 3-packs and 5-packs

• 1/16 oz: Available in 3-packs and 5-packs

• 1/8 oz: Sold in 2-packs

Are your hooks strong enough for big fish?

Yes. We use high-quality black nickel hooks sized right for each jig. They hold up to slab crappie, bluegill, perch, bass, walleye and even the occasional bonus northern pike.

Do your jigs contain lead?

Yes, Slab Snax jigs are made with lead, like most traditional options. However, we’re currently testing the added safety benefits of our tougher, fully encapsulating coating. We believe this provides a safer alternative by sealing the jig more completely. Even so, please take standard precautions. Wash your hands after handling and keep jigs out of reach of children and pets.

Why are some jigs not perfectly identical?

Because they’re handmade. We don’t mass produce. Each jig has slight variations, which we believe adds to their fish attracting power. We try to only package the most ascetically pleasing jigs. Though fish don’t mind, they love the SNAX.

Can I fish these in both open water and under the ice?

Absolutely. Our jigs are effective year-round, whether you're vertical jigging through the ice over the basin or casting into a spring crappie bed.

Do you take custom orders?

At this time, we’re focused on fulfilling retail demand with our standard color lineup. We release designs when possible. Special requests may be considered for local customers or events—just reach out.
